Tom Bihl, a living legend of incompetence, corruption, wild-driving and greed, 
is leading an effort to recall the Mayor of Portsmouth. 

Dr. Robert Forrey gives us a delightful documented account of the
'Adventures of Tom Bihl' and Bihl's career as an employee of the 
City of Portsmouth. 
In May 1999 Ex-Police Chief Tom Bihl was serving as an incompetent, 
appointed City Auditor when indicted for criminal mis-use of city money 
while he was Chief of Police. 

Bihl's demolition-derby-type driving record on public streets was well 
known to most of the citizens, and he had a reputation of spending more 
time during work days in the bar-rooms than he spent in the Auditor's Office. 

The news of Bihl's indictment was the biggest story about a police chief 
since Chief Edwards was indicted in 1963 on fifty counts of taking weekly 
bribes from the infamous “Four-Pound” Brown who operated a well-stocked 
brothel that served many of the local business men, attorneys and 
police officers.
Chief Edwards also was indicted on a charge of the armed robbery 
of a local gun shop. 

Edwards was a bad cop; he took bribes from a cat-house operator, and pulled 
an armed robbery.  But, to his credit, no record of Chief Edwards attempting to 
overturn the will of the people by the recall of an honest mayor has been found.

Freedom does not exist in Portsmouth. Democracy set aside as Judge overrules majority of voters in special election of FEBRUARY 03, 2009.
 
ELECTION NEWS  November 2009 - Citizen wins in Supreme Court after Judge Wlliam Marshall overturns election of 3 Feb 09.   
Judge Marshall made decision ruling the losing voters won the election and the winners of election lost.  
Seven  Supreme Court Justices then ruled against the Honorable Judge Marshall and for Democracy and the rights of the citizens of Portsmouth.

 Special Council Meeting 6:00 p.m., at City Hall, Monday, March 01, 2010/
Council President David Malone was hospitalized following the four-hour
meeting last Monday night.  
 
Malone has now called for a special meeting to consider looking again
at a proposal that was rejected at the last meeting.
 
Apparently he has recovered and decided to reconsider his refusal to provide
Mayor Jane Murray with authority to spend Four Thousand Dollars of 
a Four-Hundred Thousand Dollar Housing grant she will obtain if Council
will agree that she may spend Four Thousand Dollars of the Grant money
when it is obtained to pay for help she has found to obtain the Four-Hundred 
Thousand Dollars.
 
At the last meeting Jerrold Albrecht, Richard Noel, Kevin Johnson voted
in favor of paying Four-Thousand Dollars for the Four-Hundred Thousand
Dollars grant the City can obtain with approval of the Council.  The payment
is to be made from the grant money when it is received.  However, Council 
President David Malone, Third Ward Councilman Nicholas Basham and
Fifth Ward Councilman John Haas refused to honor the Mayor's request.
 
This is to be only item to be considered at this special meeting.

MEARAN  Councilman has Conflict of Interest   
 CITY COUNCIL  City Hall is filthy-  Mayor Kalb intentionally neglects city property; 
he has long-standing plans to sell the site where our present building now stands to a secret developer.  
 
SOGP’s City Council group’s next act is a bigger scandal 
 
Clayton Johnson and Michael Mearan are working together “for the betterment 
of Portsmouth?”   Just when we thought Council couldn't be more corrupt, Councilmen
Marty Mohr, Howard Baughman and Jerrold Albrecht appointed Mike Mearan. 
That is scary.
 
Real estate taxes will be raised for the next twenty years. Councilman/Attorney 
Mike Mearan several months ago confessed during a Council session that he and Clay 
Johnson are close associates.

At a recent council meeting Mike said that while he and Clay Johnson were 
talking in Clay's office the two of them came up with the idea of selling 
historic Spartan Stadium to the City Schools for One Dollar.  
(Citizens came to Council, stood up and spoke up and Mearan tabled the idea.)

Councilman/Attorney Michael Mearan, his wealthy Los Angeles physician client, and the benefit of 
the Great Embezzler Clay Johnson.
 
Why should we citizens be impoverished with an unnecessary real estate tax for twenty years 
for a building we do not need, and do not want in order to aid wicked embezzlers to  increase 
their bloated ill-gotten hoard with our money?
